Homeschooling multiple kids goes much more smoothly when some of them can work independently. Here’s how I make it work with four.
Stagger your lessons
I stagger our lessons so I can help one child while the others work, or play, on their own. Nobody’s waiting around on me, and we get through the day faster.
Save special toys for school time
For younger children who aren’t reading independently yet, try reserving a few special toys or games just for school time. It keeps them engaged while you work with a sibling.
I go deeper on this in how I get things done as a working homeschool mom.
