How does one haircut make them look so much older? This is my baby, the youngest of our four, and his long “surfer boy” hair finally got a major cut. It hit me harder than I ever thought it could.

When your youngest grows up a little, it lands differently. There’s no “next baby” coming behind him, so every little change feels big. One haircut, and suddenly my three-year-old looks like a big kid. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
